What areas do you service?

We deliver firewood to locations in Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George's Counties, as well as Washington, D.C and Northern Virginia.

Do you charge an additional fee for delivery?

Not any more! In tough economic times, we all need a little “stimulus” to keep us going. The Rupp Companies one price policy now includes delivery to your driveway within all locations in our service area.

Do I need to be home when delivery is made?

No. For your convenience you can pay by Visa or Mastercard over the phone or simply leave a check in a pre-arranged location. Payment will be collected at the time of delivery.

How long has the firewood been seasoned?

This is deceptive as seasoning firewood is not as much a function of time as it is of the environmental conditions that allow the moisture to escape. Generally, the wood has been cut and split for at least six to nine months before it is offered for sale.

What size is the firewood?

Pieces are cut to a uniform 16” length and split into manageable pieces that can be picked up with one hand.

How big is a cord of wood?

A cord of wood is a tightly stacked pile of wood measuring 4 feet x 4 feet x 8 feet
(128 cubic feet). Firewood can only legally be sold by the cord, or fraction thereof.

What type of wood do you sell?

 The Rupp Companies only sells 100% Oak to our retail customers. A hardwood mix can be ordered for our wholesale customers if ordered at time of processing. Please contact us for more details and pricing.

Is stacking available and if so, how much is it?

Yes. Firewood stacking service is available at a cost of $50.00 per half cord and $100.00 per full cord if the stacking location is accessible by wheelbarrow, has no steps to go up or down, and is within 100 feet of where the truck can unload the wood. An example of this is parking on the street or driveway and stacking the wood in the backyard. In other cases, your driver will be able to give you a quote at the time of delivery.

Do you sell 'green' or unseasoned firewood?

 Yes we do. This is for the customer who wants to stock up for next season and save some money. This wood is not suitable for burning this season. Please call for current pricing.

Can I split a delivery with my neighbor to save money?

Sure! Say you and your next door neighbor each want a half cord. Instead of each of you paying for a half cord ($140.00 x 2 = $280.00) you can order one cord ($250.00) and we will put half in your driveway and half in your neighbor’s driveway. This is actually quite popular with some of our customers.
